James Valley Christian 77, Ethan 68
HURON — Behind four players in double figures, James Valley Christian earned a 77-68 victory against Ethan on Monday at the JVC gym.
With 16 points coming for Jerrad Wallman in the paint, the Vikings opened a 24-17 lead by the end of the first quarter.
JVC led 48-38 at the half and carried a 59-53 advantage into the final quarter.
Wallman finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the Vikings, who improved to 7-6. Tayne Herrmann had 19 points, while Gavin Waldner and Jayven Van Scharrel added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Ethan also had four players reach double figures in the scoring column and was led by Davin Hohn with 20 points. Braeden Nebelsick had 17 points, while Aiden Riggs had 11 points and Jaxx Kurtenbach had 10 points.
Both teams return to action today. JVC hosts Hitchcock-Tulare in a 281 Conference matchup, while Ethan will play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Forestburg.

Ethan 74, James Valley Christian 13
HURON — With the help of nine 3-pointers, Ethan, which is ranked No. 3 in Class B, cruised to a 74-13 victory against James Valley Christian on Monday.
The Rustlers, who improved to 12-2, led 17-4 after the opening quarter and outscored VC 23-0 in the second quarter to carry a 40-4 advantage into the second half.
Marissa Storm and Taziah Hawkins each had 15 points to lead Ethan. Rachel Klock and Sadie Mueller also reached double figures with 11 points each.
Rylin Wipf and Addison Kleinsasser finished with five and four points, respectively, to lead the Lady Vikings (0-12).
Both teams are back in action today. Ethan faces Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, which is receiving votes in the Class B rankings, in Forestburg, while JVC hosts Hitchcock-Tulare in a 281 Conference matchup.
