MOUNTAIN LAKE, Minn. — Beulah (Bea) M. Tschetter, 99, formerly of Spink County, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Mountain Lake, Minn., her home for the past 50 years.
At her request, there are no services planned.
Beulah was born May 14, 1925 in Spink County, to Jacob and Mary (Hofer) Glanzer. After graduating from Doland High School in 1942, she attended Eastern Normal Teachers College in Madison, for one year, before starting her teaching career at a one-room school called Live Wire County School. On December 12, 1943 she married Peter Tschetter, Jr. in Fairfield Bethel Church.
Bea taught in schools in South Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota while finishing her required teaching degree in 1970 at Dakota Wesleyan Universityin Mitchell.
She enjoyed word puzzles, sudoku, game shows, painting, gardening and sewing. Her knowledge of who was related to whom was amazing.
Survivors are Jacky Linscheid, Randy (Wanette) Tschetter and Rachel (Larry) Engbrecht, six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her siblings, a son-in-law Jim Linscheid, a grandson and a great granddaughter.
