'Remember When' All Star Show

Posted

Journey back in time celebrating the jukebox hits and beloved artists of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s as we Remember When with Pat and Donna Surface on the De Smet Event Center stage Sunday, Sept. 8, at 3 p.m.

Unlike many tributes, this performance spans a wide array of timeless music from this vibrant era, offering more than just a focus on a single artist.

The Remember When All Star Show is a two-hour blast to the past packed with entertaining and theatrical segments, including great stories along with lots of fun! There is something for everyone, including a Woodstock Tribute celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Pat Surface, an award-winning singer/songwriter and leader of the popular band, the Boundary Water Boys, will be joined by his wife, Donna, a Performance Artist in Sign for the Hearing Impaired. Donna’s unique blend of American Sign Language, dance, and dramatic interpretation brings a distinct element to the performance. Together, this dynamic and humorous duo offer a compelling contrast: Pat, standing at six feet eight inches tall, has a rich, mellow voice and a laid-back, folksy Minnesota demeanor, while Donna, at five feet tall, brings quick wit and energetic flair from New York City.

This captivating tribute will close out the 2024 De Smet Area Concert Series with a bang, concluding a season that featured five top-notch performances that have continued to earn high praise from concert-goers across a wide area.

A limited number of individual tickets are on sale at $20 each. Call Nancy Montros at 605-854-3502, or the Event Center, 605-854-6060, for individual ticket information.
