Huron girls tennis plays in Brookings Saturday

BROOKINGS — The Huron girls’ tennis team earned a split in two matches on Saturday durig the Brookings Invite.
The Tigers edged Yankton 5-4 and suffered an 8-1 setback against Aberdeen Central.
“It was a great win against Yankton,” Huron coach Rachel Kary said. “The girls’ played awesome.”
Earning singles wins for the Tigers against Yankton were Paw Kler Moo at No. 4, Madeline Kleinasser at No. 5 and Idella Meyer at No. 6.
Moo combined with Say Glay to win the No. 2 doubles match, while Kleinsasser and Meyer also inked a win at No. 3 doubles.
Kleinsasser earned the only win for Huron against Aberdeen Central.
The Tigers will travel to Madison to face the Bulldogs and Vermillion at 10 a.m. Thursday.
