MADISON — Huron won a pair of singles championships and a doubles championship during the Madison Tennis Invitational, which was held Friday at Saturday.

Winning singles titles for the Tigers were Ann Hoek at No. 3 and Madeline Kleinsasser at No. 5.

Idella Meyer was second at No. 6, while Paw Kler Moo was fourth at No. 4.

Kleinsasser and Meyer combined to win the championship in third flight doubles for Huron.

Rubish and Hoek won their opening No. 1 doubles match, as did Glay and Moo at No. 3.

However, the No. 1 and 2 doubles teams did not advance to the championship bracket due to the amount of games they gave up in their first matches.

Rubish and Hoek, along with Glay and Moo, would finish the doubles competition undefeated.

“It was a great tournament,” Huron coach Rachel Kary said.

The Tigers are back in action Tuesday, when they host Vermillion at 11 a.m., at Huron Courts.
