The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds built a 24-0 margin in the first half and then held on for a 38-22 victory over Estelline-Hendricks Friday at Wolsey.
Friday marked the first game for much of the state, as Class 11B and all 9-man classes opened their seasons on Friday.
